Finding an unexpected surprise African feast at a mall in Dubai
Dubai: You can say I live and breathe Dubai’s mall culture. Spending time at the mall is therapeutic to me. There are shops to visit, indoor activities to do and—my favourite on the list—restaurants to try.
Out of all the mall restaurants I have tried, it was only a recent visit to Tribes at Mall of the Emirates that really transported me to a different world.
Dubai: Meraas’ Boxpark, a retail district along Al Wasl Road in Dubai, has launched 17 new outlets, taking the total number of stores to 39.
The new outlets include Ahwak, Bubbleology, La Noisette, Yamaha Café, The Melting Pot, Filful, Kuai, Gossip Desserts, Shishfish, Classic Car Café, and Love Mhshy. Ten of the new stores have made their regional debut at Boxpark

T he smell and taste of the dishes in her parents’ kitchen first gave Zahra Ali a passion for food.
In time Ms Ali, 39, became well acquainted with European and Arabian cuisine. Yet while the idea of starting a restaurant was long in her mind, somehow the time was never right.
Retailer plans to double number of restaurants by 2016
Dubai: Retailer Marka is opening two more Reem Al Bawadi restaurants, one in Sharjah and the other in Ras Al Khaimah, according to a statement on Tuesday.
The Sharjah outlet will be located at Sahara Centre, while the outlet in Ras Al Khaimah will be at Al Naeem Mall. Both outlets are set to open in November.

Dubai, UAE, 20 July 2015: Youssef Jammal, a regional hospitality expert based in the UAE and head of hospitality and retail in 'The H Holding Enterprise', a leading investment group in the country, says the food and beverage (F&B) sector is set to grow 36 per cent by end of 2015.
Dubai-based Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari (IMG) Group forays into the F&B sector through a collaboration with the Spanish family business Asador de Aranda Group. As part of the agreement IMG Group will open Asador de Aranda’s first international restaurant, with plans to open 12 more across the Middle East over the next 10 years.
Company to invest Dh150m as it brings new brands to UAE
Abu Dhabi: Tablez Food Company, the food and beverage arm of Lulu International Group, is planning to invest Dh150 million in capital expenditure to almost double its locations from the current 31 to 57 by 2018.

Aims to open 10 more outlets globally by Q3 2015
Dubai: German Doner Kebab, a restaurant chain, plans to open a new outlet in JBR, Dubai later this month.
According to a statement on Thursday, the store will be the company’s third in Dubai and 31st globally.

UAE-based Marka has decided to take the Reem al Bawadi restaurant chain to Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) for the first time by opening two outlets in the emirates by the fourth quarter of this year, with November as the expected launch date for both.
The new Reem Al Bawadi outlets will be located at Sahara Centre in Sharjah and Al Naeem Mall in RAK. The Sahara Centre restaurant will occupy 5,500 sqft of space in addition to an outdoor terrace of approximately 500 sqft,while the one at Al Naeem Mall will have an internal floor plan of 8,900 sqft and an outside dining area of around 1,500 sqft.
