Istanbul eyes global fashion markets
The Core Istanbul, an event supported by Turkish readymade garment exporters, fashion designers and the government, helps the country’s fashion brands to reach out to global markets.
The runways in Istanbul were in full swing during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul held from March 16 to 21, with buyers from the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia showing special interest in the Core Istanbul exhibition, where a consortium of companies operating under the Istanbul Apparel and Design Cluster (URGE) presented their new 2015-16 Fall-Winter collections.
