The announcement, which was made at Cards and Payments Middle East, follows aStrategic Collaboration Agreement that was signed betweenMasterCard and McDonald's earlier this year.


MasterPass offers consumers a hassle-free way to make convenient, simple, fast and secure payments online by allowing them to store their MasterCard or other branded payment card information, as well as shipping and billing address details, securely in one place. After shopping online, consumers can then make payments and check outconveniently and quickly, without the hassle of having to re-type these details for each purchase. McDonald's customers who have signed up for MasterPass simply need to select the 'Buy with MasterPass' button when ordering online for McDonald's home delivery via the McDonald's UAEwebsite.

In addition to McDonald's , MasterPass is also accepted at nearly a quarter million merchants globally, and is being rolled out across other major retailers in the UAE providing local customers with a "digital one stop shop" that's quick and convenient.


First launched in 2013, MasterPass is now available in seventeen markets including Australia, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Korea, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, the UAE, the United Kingdom and the United States.
