Tourists’ numbers in Oman rise during the first 2 months of 2015

The tourists’ number in Oman Sultanate from the beginning of the year until February rose by 12% to reach 390 thousand visitors compared with the same period of the last year.


Gulf residents came in the first place in respect of tourists’ number during February with 54 thousand visitors to cover 28% of tourists. Indians came in the second place with 18,396 visitors covering 9.5%.


German tourists came in the third place with 17 thousand and 976 visitors, Brits came in the fourth place with 14 thousand and 888 tourists.


Hotels revenues in Oman during February reached 18 million and 374 thousand OAR compared with 18 million and 600 thousand OAR achieved in the same period of the last year with a slight decrement of 1.2%.


Hotel guests during last February reached 120 thousand and 708 guests compared with 109 thousand and 358 guests achieved in the same period of the last year.
