New Sharaf DG store integrates technology
Aimed at improving customers’ shopping experience
Dubai: Consumer electronics retailer Sharaf DG has opened its newly renovated store in Dubai’s Times Square Center, which integrates technology to offer customers a better shopping experience.
“We started off on a clean slate and questioned every design, process, technology and organisation structures to arrive at an experience which will inspire customers and help them discover something new every time they visit Sharaf DG, provide a personalised shopping experience,” said Nilesh Khalkho, chief executive of Sharaf DG in a statement.
The store now has digital screens mounted on retail area tables, on which staff will cast product content, offers and videos to engage with customers and help them choose a product.
The store also features automated vending machines for dispensing laptops, tablets, mobiles and cameras, as well as a gaming wall where customers can play a game with a friend, among others.
Aside from the newly renovated store, Sharaf DG has launched a new mobile app and website.
The app allows customers to “search products, check features, compare products, compare prices with other retailers, check stock availability across Sharaf DG store locations, add a product to your wishlist, share with your friends and family, show your loyalty by adding your Air Miles loyalty card and buy products from the comfort of your mobile, get home delivery or pick up in-store,” Khalkho said.
