Design firm SSH wins deal to work on new Qatar shopping mall
Design firm SSH has said that its Qatar unit has won a contract to work on a new luxury retail complex in the Gulf state.
The company said in a statement that it has been awarded the professional design services for The South Mall being developed by E'EMAR Development & Real Estate investment.
Covering an area close to 50,000 sq m, the mall will include a hypermarket, exclusive international restaurants, coffee shops, anchor stores and a sports and recreational club.
SSH said under the contract it will provide multi-disciplinary design services for the new mall located in the main Wakrah Road.
Matthew Squires, SSH's senior partner and Qatar resident director, said: "The new innovative and unique design submitted by SSH will make The South Mall in Qatar a compelling destination for residents and tourists alike."
SSH said it maintains offices in Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the UAE, Iraq, Bahrain, Algeria, South Africa and London. Founded in 1961, it has completed more than 1,000 projects.
