Dubai cult favourite restaurant to reopen

This German restaurant in Dubai will reopen on September 1 and there will be some delicious-sounding meals on the menu

A old cult favourite Dubai restaurant iis making a comeback next month.

Der Keller will re-open its doors on September 1, showing off a revamped interior at its Jumeirah Beach Hotel location.

Serving up German cuisine, will be Marcel Korpuka - who also brings fresh dishes to the menu.

Expect favourites from Austria, Switzerland and of course Germany where Marcel hails from.

‘We’ve taken a new approach and included dishes and beverages from neighbouring countries including Austria and Switzerland,’ he said. ‘There’s now more choice than ever, while staying true to Der Keller’s heritage and our loyal supporters over the last 18 years.’

Its current location has been home to the eatery since 1997, before that it was based inside the Chicago Beach Hotel.

Described as ‘rustic’, customers can expect big portions and plenty of meat on the menu.

Cold cuts, Swiss sausage salad, sauerkraut and apple strudel stand out as ideal dishes to order.

And it opens with good timing too as it’s the first venue in town to mark Oktoberfest. They’ll have a special food menu as well as hops promotions to celebrate from as early as September 17.

The level one restaurant will be open from 6pm on weekdays and 12pm on weekends.
