Top Dubai beach hotel begins phase 2 of major revamp
Dubai's Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort + Spa has officially started phase two of its renovation plan, with work scheduled to end in the fourth quarter of 2015.
The second phase of renovations will focus on the refurbishment of the entrance, lobby, and reception area, as well as the introduction of a new all-day-dining concept.
The work follows on from phase 1 which included a re-development and re-design programme for more than 100 rooms in Tower One of the hotel, as well as the introduction of two new international branded F&B concepts - Geales Urban Seafood and Lounge and Zengo Pan-Asian Restaurant, Lounge and Terrace.
Phase one also saw the resort’s 18 acres of landscaped gardens revamped.
Phase three of the re-development is scheduled to start in 2016 and will see the complete redesign of all deluxe rooms and suites in the main building.
Phase 2 will also see the introduction of Le Meridien Hub, which reinterprets the traditional hotel lobby and provides creative people with a place to gather, converse and exchange ideas.
Le Meridien Lattitude Bar concept will replace the existing Piano Bar, a statement added.
Pam Wilby, complex general manager for Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort + Spa and Grosvenor House Dubai, said: “We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our visitors as a result of Phase 1 and have already significantly enriched the experience of our loyal guests while attracting a dynamic mix of new visitors to the hotel.
"Phase 2 will help to further enhance our offering, creating a whole new guest experience in line with the modern and contemporary Le Meridien brand philosophy.”
