Christian Louboutin mesmerised at Amazon India Fashion Week
Christian Louboutin, whose globally famous red soles added a high-end touch to Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s show at Amazon India Fashion Week (AICW) 2015, said he was left mesmerised with the “civilised” form of couture in India.
“It is absolutely perfect. It is extremely civilised. Believe me, it’s not exactly the same as what is in my country,” Louboutin said after the opening the show by Mukherjee.
Louboutin said he was completely in awe of Mukherjee’s presentation.
“His latest collection is simply fantastic. It was absolutely worth it to be here and attend this magnificence,” said the 52-year-old. “He was in my Mumbai store and then we started talking about Kolkata. From there on, we became friends and that’s how our collaboration happened. I can only work with people with whom I can have a personal bond, and he was one of them.”
Louboutin said he was interested in future collaborations with Mukherjee.
“We already started to talk. He said that lot of things are possible in India and I will try to be at his level to make things possible and work accordingly,” Louboutin said.
