Dubai gets a furniture-only mall
Lals Group opens two-storey facility on Oud Metha
Dubai: Dubai now has a ‘mall’ exclusively given over to furniture. The Lals Group has opened an 11,612 square-metre, two-storey facility, Zabeel Furniture Mall, in Oud Metha, for a roster of home decor and office furnishing labels and which also includes its in-house Homes R Us brand.
“We are now catering to a new market segment who want premium furniture that is still affordable,” said Jayant Ganwani, CEO. “The mall is marking a significant milestone in our expansion strategy for the region.”
“We would like to be able to expand the concept rapidly and make its presence felt everywhere in the Gulf. Future versions of the concept will — hopefully — see even more options in the furniture, home decor and DIY space.”
The other brands that will take up space at the mall are Dialma Brown, Morovski, Illumin and Bafco, which is into office furniture. In fact, this is also the first time the high Italian manufacturer Dialma Brown is being represented in the region.
The Lals Group has a highly diversified portfolio of businesses, straddling trading, retail and more recently in real estate.
